China Guodian Corporation Bulian Power Plant, Inner Mongolia
  • Two 660MW ultra-supercritical units, 2017-03;
  • Project Scope: (1) AGC coordinated control;
    (2) Main steam temperature control;
    (3) De-NOx (SCR) control;
  • Results: (1) Kp increased from 1.5 to 3.5; grid assessment net income ranking improved from 23/47 to 2/47;
    (2) Main steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 50%;
    (3) SCR outlet NOx fluctuation reduced by 50%;
    (4) First-year grid incentive exceeded RMB 40 million.

    (2) Main steam temperature control;
  • Results: Significant improvement in steam pressure and temperature control quality; Kp value increased.

Case 4

China Resources Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park Cogeneration Plant
  • 300MW subcritical unit, 2019-12;
  • Results: (1) Load ramp rate increased from 1.5%/min to 2.3%/min;
    (2) Steam pressure fluctuation reduced by over 50%;
    (3) Main steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 40%;
    (4) Reheat steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 60%.

Guohua Suizhong Power Plant
  • Two 880 MW supercritical units with SCR De-NOx, 2020-6 & 2020-10;
  • Results: (1) SCR outlet NOx fluctuation reduced by over 40%;
    (2) Ammonia solution consumption saved by over 10%.

Case 6

Guohua Zhungeer Power Plant
  • 300 MW subcritical unit, 2020-07;
  • Results: (1) Kp increased from 1.2 to above 3.0;
    (2) Steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 40%;
    (3) Average steam temperature increased by 3–4°C.

Case 7

Zhejiang Energy Taizhou Power Plant
  • 300MW subcritical unit, 2021-04;
  • Results: Load ramp rate improved from under 1 MW/min to 8 MW/min (mid-to-low load) and 5.8 MW/min (high load).

Case 8

Huadian Jiangling Power Plant
  • 660 MW ultra-supercritical unit, 2021-05;
  • Results: (1) NOx fluctuation reduced by 70% (Side A) and 84% (Side B);
    (2) Outlet NOx fluctuation reduced by 52%;
    (3) Ammonia solution consumptio reduced by 7.1%.

Case 9

Jingneng Shengle Power Plant
  • Two 350MW supercritical units, 2022-06
  • Results: (1) Kp increased from 1.2 to 4.0;
    (2) Significant reduction in load, steam pressure, and intermediate-point temperature fluctuations;
    (3) Deep load turndown capability extended to 25%;
    (4) Main/reheat steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 38% and 52%;
    (5) Average main steam temperature increased by 3.8°C;
    (6) Average reheat steam temperature increased by 1.4°C and 4.4°C (two sides).

Guohua Hulunbuir Power Plant
  • Two 600MW units, 2022-2023;
  • Results: (1) SCR outlet NOx fluctuation reduced by 40%;
    (2) Ammonia injection reduced by 5–10%.

Case 11

Huaneng Jingmen Thermal Power Plant, Hubei
  • 350MW supercritical unit, 2023-04;
  • Results: (1) Load ramp rate increased from 1.5% to 2.5%;
    (2) Deep load turndown to 25%;
    (3) Steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 30–40%;
    (4) De-NOx outlet NOx fluctuation reduced by over 60%;
    (5) Ammonia solution usage reduced by 20%.

Case 12

Zheneng Liuheng Power Plant
  • 1030MW ultra-supercritical unit, 2023-04;
  • Results: (1) Load ramp rate increased from 0.8% to 1.5%;
    (2) Deep load turndown to 40%;
    (3) Main/reheat steam temperature fluctuation reduced by 40–50%;
    (4) Average main/reheat steam temperature increased by 2.0°C and 3.5°C.
